Sanctuary Chai starts off with fresh whole leaf teas and herbs that are blended to provide a rich and aromatic taste profile. Each tea and herb are steeped under precise water quality and temperature conditions to extract the best and most flavorful essences from the teas.

Fresh spices are then milled and immediately infused into the blended teas so that the spices’ native rich flavor components and natural oils are captured, complementing the body and flavor profile of the teas – resulting in a smooth, well rounded and balanced taste, bursting with flavors and aromas from around the world.


Sanctuary Chai takes pride in ensuring all ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality. Our select spices are produced by organic and all natural farms that have a healthy respect for the environment: from cardamom producers in Guatemala to clove farmers in Madagascar.

Where possible, Sanctuary Chai bypasses traditional commodity exchanges, paying a premium to the growers that would normally be filtered out through middlemen and brokers – allowing for growers to invest in their land, communities, and into the quality of their spices.

Sanctuary Chai concentrates are a 1 to 3 chai to milk concentration ratio, making it an environmentally conscious option by cutting packaging waste, using less production and distribution emissions.
